Kristin Cross
Kristin Cross is concerned with analysis of objects and architectural
space. She is interested in the detailed examination of objects: of
their processing, identification and labeling. Her intent is to
understand different ways of re-organising and re-explaining common
elements from our surroundings. The pieces she chooses she see as
artefacts from our everyday lives, objects that represent a collective
memory. Kristin works primarily with wood objects from our built
environment such as doors, windows and mouldings. The pieces are
dissected, ordered and labeled in an attempt to unveil a hidden
history.
